Mitzvah Day was a huge success thanks to all our wonderful volunteers! We brought toiletries and toys to two women's shelters in Hyannis, 10 boxes of diapers to the New Baby Center at 32 Main Street in Hyannis, sandwiches to St. Joseph's House, fleece blankets to MSPCA, and flower pots and hand-made cards to Windsor Nursing Home in South Yarmouth. We planted lots of beautiful flowers and bushes in the back of the synagogue garden.

Social Action/Justice Efforts
Judaism is a religion of mitzvah, or sacred action, focused on our sacred obligations to care for on another and to seek justice for the downtrodden, the disadvantaged and the persecuted. In a wide variety of ways, our community is engaged in efforts to act in partnership with God in repairing the world through our sacred acts of caring - tikkun olam.
Please look on this page to see the scope of our community involvement and to take part in our efforts. Do you have a project you would like to lead? Please let us know how you can help us do more! Contact our chairperson, Wendy Lavenda-Carroll.
