About Us

Cape Cod Synagogue is the Jewish light burning brightly on Cape Cod since our start in 1933.  We value each member and the stories they bring to our diverse community — from multi-generational members of our congregation to those new to the Cape.

We welcome all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community – a place to call home.

A member congregation of the Union for Reform Judaism, we are an inclusive and affirming synagogue.  Click here to read more about our Reform Jewish values.

We invite you to make Cape Cod Synagogue your Jewish home on the Cape.

Our Mission

The Cape Cod Synagogue, a Reform Jewish congregation in Hyannis, Massachusetts, is a religious and social community of diverse ages and family structures. We are committed to enriching our lives and the lives of others by attending to the following six principles:

Worshiping God in a variety of ways that will inspire spiritual fulfillment for every congregant.

Preserving Jewish cultural, religious and ethical values.

Providing Jewish education for people of all ages.

Caring for and responding to the needs of others within the congregation and in the larger community.

Supporting the State of Israel and the Jewish people everywhere.

Pursuing justice in order to promote peace among diverse peoples in our community and the world.

Our Bylaws

The Cape Cod Synagogue is incorporated as a non-profit religious institution.  Our bylaws reflect our commitment to our Jewish mission, our communal responsibility for transparency, and our legal obligations for good governance.  Click here to see our Synagogue Bylaws.
