Learning is a lifelong expression of Jewish identity and faith. Sacred scriptures and rabbinic writings, history, novels, poetry, films, music and more contribute to our understanding of our tradition, faith and culture. Everyone is welcome to join in our many opportunities to gain and transmit Jewish knowledge.

Adult Hebrew Classes

For those who like to plan ahead, Adult Hebrew classes will again be offered at the synagogue, sponsored by the Adult Education Committee. Below are the details:

Classes will be on Google Meet, Wednesday evenings at 7p.m. to begin on Wed.October 15th. Each class will last less than an hour. We will use the same book as the religious school uses so parents with children learning Hebrew will truly be “on the same page”.

Our book is “The New Hebrew Primer” which can be purchased on Amazon, possibly other sites also. Each participant needs to purchase his/her own book. Classes will be taught by Natalie Guerin, who currently teaches first year Hebrew at the synagogue. She has taught Hebrew for decades, also in Falmouth and in many other locations.

The initial program will be for ten weeks at a cost of $50.00 to join. Natalie is happy to continue to a second session if folks want to. Payment should be made to the synagogue for “Adult Education”, indicating that it is for “Adult Hebrew”. You can pay on the website or by check to the synagogue.
